Tennis Skills Not much to speak of...I'm just learning the game so this is all changing fast. This is the first time I've taken steps to playing with anyone but my old roommate. I've taken a couple of classes and my coach urged me to find other players since the class was prinarily for novice/beginner players. I have improved my serve but it depends on the day. I get phased real easy depending on how my day went...yes, now you have a strategy against me ;) I tend to protect the baseline and hope that I mislead my oponent while vollying to score. Each time I've rushed the net, it's like when a dog chasing a car finally catches up and doesn't know what to do. LOL I have a Wilson Raquet and my coach has thickened the grip for me...I forgot the size or any details about it. At this point, I'll play with whatever racquet is around. Bio Thanks for checking out my profile. I played casually for about 2 years (2003-2004) and then got into Racquetball. I never got good at either because they are very different to play and if you don't have developed skills, you develop bad habits. Fast forward 7 years and now I'm married with 2 daughters and finally some free time to return to tennis. Over the past 5 months I have been trying to get out and play but recently the weather has been bad so I'm anxious to just get out and hit. I am meeting up with friends and family on Tuesdays at Tamiami or Tropical Park and I'd love to add more nights to the routine - even weekends. Whatever skill level you are, I would welcome you to check with me for my availability to get together for an hour somewhere. I can meetup anywhere in Westchester/Kendall area or Miami Lakes and as far north as Miramar.
