You may not remember me...After being absent from the TM world for quite a while, I relize the growth of the site has been great. I am happy to come back to a more crowded space :).
I guess sometimes you come back to places when you need it. I now live in Long Beach and must rejuvenate my tennis circle. After playing in a couple of mixed doubles groups, I was reminded of how I met all those people. Surprising enough, it was TennisMetro.
It does take a while and a number of people to go through until you meet the ones that match your needs. Like any place, you have to sift through quite a few to find our tennis soul mates. I actually found a couple of them and am glad to say that this site made quite an impact. So in turn, I will return the favor, by not only returning to share my consistently growing love for tennis; but sharing it with some new tennis people I have met over the past three months.
If you're not sure how to use TennisMetro, standard protocols and otherwise, I am happy to offer my help to you on this great website.
I have since last time continued my personal mission to become a 5.0 by years end. I think with enough dedication and practice it is very possible. I started the series called "The Transformation Chamber" to chronicle my momentum and path towards 5.0'dom. However, I started to realize how slow and depressing it was. From now on, I will report my hurdles, aids and successes as they come and not force progress so much.
Since tennis is such a mental game it's a bit jarring to have to report in all the time and possibly report that nothing has changed or that you've gotten into a slump. The only way I'm going to get anywhere is by finding new partners, playing all types of players and losing some weight. So alas, I continue on my path to fitness.
If you'd like to play and you're near Long Beach or willing to travel, I'm a solid 4.0, almost a 4.5 and an aspiring 5.0 who wants to play....Send me a message and see you on the court!
