Let's face it, tennis began as a sport of the elite. If you really want to pursue tennis you have to think about dress code, shoes, court fees, rackets, stringing, balls, and so on and so forth. Even as a child, before I started my tennis career (as a middle-class family) we had to consider how many lessons per week and for what amount of time would be most effective for the money my parents were spending. My point...when really getting yourself into tennis, its not a cheap sport to get into, but I love to say it IS the on the of the classiest and most well-rounded.
From your balls to your racket to your tennis arm-band there are just so many accessories that make our beloved sport just a little more...well...posh than some others. I recently saw a cute (albeit ridiculous) tennis trinket that made me want to share some LAVISH tennis items. They can be a little ridiculous at times, but I guarantee that someone's love for expensive tastes is getting these items sold.
The Trinket? The Louis Vuitton Sac Racket cover (with ball bouch and solid brass buckles and hardware):

The damage? $4,000 for the two pieces - You can always find a bargain on other websites. The cheapest I saw this racket cover was for $870.
Where can you get your very own? Directly from the good ol' Louis store or try Malleries.
The Trinket? Tiffany's sterling silver tennis ball can...yea I said sterling silver.

The damage? This hunk of metal is gonna set you back $1500...yipes! You better not lose this and really love your tennis balls. What are the most expensive tennis balls to put in here you ask? Wilson US Open Xtra duty tennis balls, you can find them for about $4 a can, cheaper in many places.
Where can you get your very own? At the Tiffany's site of course. Sorry folks, I haven't really seen this one on a more bargainy site. They also sell a glass tennis ball (which i'm guessing can double as a paper weight ;).
The Trinket? Giorgio Armani EA7 Tennis Racket (don't worry its made by Babolat)

The damage? This fabulously stylish racket, which is really just Armani branded can be yours for the steal price of just $345. So now when you blame your racket for missing the shot, you know who's fault it REALLY is...Armani's of course.
Where can you get your very own? Exclusively at Armani stores. I even tried to find it on Ebay...no dice!
If you all see anything else outrageous that may be a fun trinket to think about or even splurge on, let me know and post a comment here! :) Happy shopping.
